MMC-Gamuda JV Received Letter of Acceptance to Proceed with Electrified Double Track Project

Introduction
MMC-Gamuda JV has on 14 December 2007 received from the Government of Malaysia the Letter of Acceptance dated 13 December 2007 wherein the Government has accepted the proposal by MMC Corporation Berhad-Gamuda Berhad Joint Venture to carry out the Electrified Double Track Project from Ipoh to Padang Besar on a design and build basis for a lump sum price of RM12.485 billion.
Scope of Works
The works under the Contract comprises the design and construction of the Infrastructure and System works in respect of the Project. The Project is to be completed within 60 months from the commencement date.
