Electrified Double Track Project (EDTP) Works Progressing Rapidly and on Schedule
The joint venture contractors for the northern section Electrified Double Track (2T) project, MMC Corporation Berhad and Gamuda Berhad (MMC-Gamuda JV), held a media briefing to announce the status of works for the 329km Ipoh to Padang Besar project along its alignment across the four northern states of Penang, Perak, Kedah and Perlis.
The project is progressing rapidly in all four states since taking possession of the site on January 8, 2008 and that works are on schedule.
In a briefing to the media today, MMC-Gamuda JV Director, Dato’ Ir. Hj Azmi bin Mat Nor, provided details of the project and the status of works that are occurring simultaneously in all the four states.
The media were later taken to several sites for an update on the works in progress.
