MMC-Gamuda formalises Contract Agreement for the Systems Works with Balfour Beatty Ansaldo Systems JV
MMC-Gamuda Joint Venture Sdn Bhd, the Contractor for the Electrified Double Track Project (EDTP) between Ipoh and Padang Besar today announced that the Contract Agreement for the Systems Works has been formalised with Balfour Beatty Ansaldo Systems JV Sdn Bhd (BBA JV).
Won through an open international tender, BBA JV emerged with the most relevant track records in design, construction, completion, testing and commissioning of the Systems Works for railway and mass rapid transportation systems.
The two companies fulfilled the selection criteria that were based on technical compatibility with the existing KTM Berhad’s rail system, commercially competitive tender pricing, both having incorporated companies in Malaysia and guaranteed by their respective parent companies i.e. Balfour Beatty Group Ltd and Ansaldo STS Australia Pty Ltd and having a track record in similar projects locally and internationally.
